DIRECTOR

Kevin is incredibly proud to be directing the first play in the brand new Here For Now Theatre. He has spent 30 years making theatre as an actor, improvisor, fight director, dramaturg, and director; working coast to coast here in Canada, as well as in the UK, South Africa, and Germany. While his focus has been the classics over the last number of years, his first theatre love is new work. Especially funny new work.

PLAYWRIGHT

Canadian Comedy Award winner Rebecca Northan writes, directs, acts, and improvises. As Artistic Producer of Spontaneous Theatre, she created the long-touring hit show Blind Date, co-created (with BruceHorak), Goblin:Macbeth and Goblin:Oedipus. Their latest, Murder-on-the-Lake, premiers at the Shaw Festival this summer. Recent directing credits include box-office hits: Charlotte's Web (Alberta Theatre Projects), and Comedy of Errors (Bard on the Beach). Rebecca also directs Pride and Prejudice at The Grand Theatre this spring. She has penned several scripted plays: ZORRO:Family Code, Slipper, All I Want for Christmas, Car Crash Karaoke, JACK: A Beanstalk Panto, and Kung Fu Panties. She is an alumna of Second City, working extensively in film, TV, radio.

as THE GUY WITH THE NICE TUSH

Alison, Eric's mom, was a quiet person with a deceptively sly sense of humour. She was the best teacher he has ever met and had a remarkable intuitive sense with children, especially those in crisis. She was a steadfast supporter of Eric's career as an actor, faithfully attending all his worst performances, as well as the occasional better one. He would like to dedicate some measure of this show to her and to his brilliant beacon of a two year old daughter, who is named for her. as RACHEL

Chantelle is a Filipina-Korean-Canadian actor, director, and producer. Stage credits include: Kim’s Convenience (Soulpepper tour), Post-Democracy (Tarragon Theatre), and Strangers on a Train (Vertigo Theatre). On screen, she won Best Lead Performance awards for her roles in the feature films, Circle of Steel (Kino Sum) and Peppergrass (BLS), and had recurring roles in Netflix’s Black Summer and Departure (Global/Peacock). Chantelle has directed the world premieres of four new Canadian plays and was the Assistant Director on Wedding Band at the Stratford Festival (Tyrone Guthrie Award). Upcoming: Gangrene, USA (Barbet).

as MARGE 

Daniela is thrilled to be returning to Here For Now Theatre. She last appeared in Ale Wives (2022). Daniela has worked across Canada, selected credits include: Stratford Festival, RMTC, Theatre Calgary, ATP, Citadel Theatre, Globe Theatre, Canadian Stage, NAC, Tarragon, Theatre Aquarius, Drayton Entertainment and many more. Film/TV credits include: Murdoch Mysteries (CBC), Private Eyes (Global) and The Truth About the Harry Quebert Affair (Muse Productions). As a playwright, Daniela’s plays include, The Fox (world premiere Here For Now 2023),Sleight of Mind. Plays with co-writer Beth Graham include: Dora Maar: the wicked one, Comrades, Mules, and the multiple award-winning The Drowning Girls.

COSTUME DESIGNER

Rebecca is a costume/set designer and maker from Tkaronto. LIGHTING DESIGN

Louise is a lighting designer who has designed lighting for over 600 shows. Her work has been seen on stages across Canada. She delights in the ever changing nature of the theatre and the discoveries every new space and production brings. Louise is pleased to be part of Here For Now’s first indoor season in a brand new theatre. 

STAGE MANAGER

Sam is proud to be back at Here For Now for another season after stage-managing Paul and Linda Plan a Threesome and The Saviour in 2024.  Previously, he stage managed Where the Heart Is at the Victoria Playhouse Petrolia. A Mitchell, Ontario native, Sam is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in English at McGill University in Montreal. He has made the rounds of McGill’s theatre scene, acting in several student plays and recently directing a production of Company. He would like to thank the HFN team and his family for their support.

SOUND DESIGN

Having enjoyed living in Stratford for periods over the years, Keith is thrilled to finally be a permanent resident! Feeling blessed and grateful, his life in the theatre as composer, musical director, song writer, actor, singer, and sound designer has included 28 seasons at The Stratford Festival and has taken him across North America and overseas. SET DESIGN

Freddy is a southern Ontario based set and costume designer . Her works spans historical, musicals workshops, and devised work. With a BFA in performance creation from Concordia university, Freddy is open to projects of all kind, and seeks out works that challenge her skill building, and speak to her intersectionalities.
