Tatty Hennessy is an award-winning playwright, dramaturg, screenwriter and director, known for her bold, imaginative writing and her flair for creating work that resonates across ages and audiences.

Her breakthrough play A Hundred Words for Snow opened at the Arcola before transferring to Trafalgar Studios in 2019, where it was nominated for four Offies including Best New Play and Most Promising New Playwright. She has since become a sought-after voice for young audiences: in 2024 she was shortlisted for Polka Theatre’s inaugural Playwriting Award with her unproduced play The Elephant, and in 2025 her acclaimed adaptation of Orwell’s Animal Farm returned in a major co-production between Leeds Playhouse, Stratford East and Nottingham Playhouse, directed by Amy Leach, earning an Olivier nomination for Best New Production in an Affiliate Theatre and a UK Theatre Award nomination for Best Play Revival.

Siobhan O’Malley

Siobhan O’Malley is thrilled to be joining Here For Now for her second season. She will be playing Rory in the Canadian premiere of A Hundred Words for Snow as well as Rue in the re-mount of Whack!. Siobhan trained at The Lir, Ireland’s National Academy of Dramatic Art.
